Anil Kumar, MD, MRCP, FACC, FSVM, RPVI, RPhS, DABVLM is an accomplished Cardiologist, Vascular
Medicine, Venous & Lymphatic Medicine specialist with Certifications in Internal Medicine, Cardiology,
Vascular Medicine, Venous & Lymphatic Medicine, Vascular Imaging, Wound care & Hyperbaric
Medicine, the National Board of Echocardiography, and the Certification Boards of Nuclear Cardiology
and Cardiovascular CT. His clinical interests include phlebology (treatment of venous ulcers and varicose veins), vascular medicine and cardiovascular imaging.
Dr. Kumar earned his medical degree at Government Medical College, Patiala, Punjab, India. He
completed an internal medicine residency at the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education &
Research, Chandigarh, India, and a senior residency in cardiology at Escorts Heart Institute & Research
Center, New Delhi, India. He then completed an additional internal medicine residency at Montefiore
New Rochelle Hospital, NY, where he was named Outstanding Medical Resident. He completed his
training with a cardiology fellowship at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, PA. Prior to joining HHH, he
was the Founding Director of the Vein Center, Medical Director Cardiovascular Imaging, Dignity Health, North AZ. He was the Medical Director and later Board member of Arizona Heart Foundation, Phoenix.
Dr. Kumar has presented his research work at more than 15 regional, national, and international
conferences and symposia. He has participated in several clinical studies as Principal Investigator and
has authored numerous publications. As fellow of the American College of Cardiology and Society of
Vascular Medicine, Dr. Kumar actively participates in mentoring the younger generation of Phlebologists
and Vascular enthusiasts. He has been a faculty presenter/Chairperson/Scientific Judge at various
societies including Society of Vascular Surgery, American Venous & Lymphatic Society, Society of
Cardiovascular Ultrasound, and the Society for Vascular Medicine. He has been a reviewer/member
editorial board of various scientific journals. Dr Kumar passionately teaches vascular ultrasounds and is currently the Chairperson of Elearning Education committee of the International Society of Vascular
Ultrasound.
