Christine Mendez
Christine Mendez graduated from the University of Texas Health Science Center with a Master of Science in Nursing in 2015. Her continued commitment to learning and patient care ultimately lead her to achieving dual board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner and Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.
From an early age, Christine realized the impact that Nurses have on health care and how well working with a collaborative team helps create positive patient outcomes. While working in hospital medicine, she took special interest in the field of Cardiology. Since then, she’s enjoyed working alongside both Dr. Muppidi and Dr. Khoshnevis. As a natural teacher at heart, Christine finds joy in sharing her knowledge and helping patients understand their conditions and treatment options. She firmly believes that by providing patients with the necessary information, they can actively participate in their own care and make informed decisions. Christine takes pride in guiding her patients on their healthcare journey, ensuring they are well-informed and supported every step of the way. Beyond her professional responsibilities, Christine’s kindness and empathy shine through in all her interactions. She consistently goes the extra mile to make her patients feel comfortable and heard. Her dedication to providing personalized care allows her to build strong and trusting relationships.
Christine enjoys spending time with her family and friends. In her spare time, she enjoys exercising, volunteering, and mentoring the youth at her church. She also enjoys the sport of soccer and baseball.
